Bennaku literally means butter rice. It was tradition for the badugas to specially offer bennaku to their guests without fail. It is seen as a symbol of sharing.
Butter -200 gm
White Sooji (Rava) – 1 tumbler
  • Heat the butter in a pan.
  • Add the sooji and cook for ten minutes on medium flame.
  • When the butter begins to form ghee (you can identify from the smell), turn off the stove.
  • Serve hot
Additional Tip:
Do not fry the sooji before cooking.
