AaluKu - The Milk Rice

Aaluku literally means rice with milk. It is a healthy food rich in calcium.
Rice – 500 g
Milk – 200 g
Sugar -100 g
Salt to taste
Coconut (grated or cut into small pieces) – 1 cup
Cashew – 100 g
  • Cook rice with excess of water
  • After the rice is cooked, mash the rice into a fine paste using a masher
  • Add warm milk,salt and sugar to the rice and stir well till it is evenly mixed
  • Add coconut and stir
  • Garnish with cashew and serve
